Cleaning results were inconsistent due to issues with their operations. Parts frequently failed water break tests and often had to be rewashed two or three times to meet standards. Labor, rework, and downtime were adding up. Their cleaning process relied on a 1700-gallon immersion tank, but cycle times were long, tank life was short, and chemical usage was high.

The Solution

The new approach needed to deliver consistent first-pass results without requiring changes to existing equipment or chemistry. Brulin’s team immediately got to work, partnering with the manufacturer's team of engineers to refine their process.

By adjusting the concentration of AquaVantage® 815 GD, increasing the wash temperature, and reducing the wash time, the team created a solution that dramatically improved cleaning performance without compromising specification compliance.

Reduced Chemistry Load

The AquaVantage® 815 GD concentration was decreased from 20% to 12%, optimizing chemical efficiency without sacrificing cleaning power.

Shorter Cycle Time

Wash time was reduced from 30 minutes to just 5 minutes by raising the wash temperature, improving throughput without requiring process redesign.

Extended Tank Life

Tank performance improved significantly, with service life increasing from 1 - 2 weeks to 4 weeks, reducing maintenance, labor, and chemical usage.

Realized Success

The optimized process enabled the manufacturer to clean parts in one-third of the original time while achieving reliable, first-pass water break results.
